SOMA

Frictional Games’ SOMA is now available on the PC platform and it’s an excellent PC port. The game has no next to no issues on the world’s most popular gaming platform. However we have compiled a list of minor issues that some users have faced while trying to play the game. Please be advised that the following methods are to be used at the sole discretion of the platform owner. GamingBolt or its staff members take no responsibility for problems that may arise or issues that may occur from trying the below. Always remember that official support is always the best support.

Some users have faced an issue wherein the game won’t start at all. In this case, make sure your graphics drivers are updated and the game is completely downloaded and updated as required. If you are facing freezing or lag try lowering your resolution and if that does not works, try lowering your texture and shadow quality.

Sometimes, all you will see is a black screen. There is no known fix for this but make sure your drivers are updated. Try and lower or switch off all effects and try restarting the game. Check if this works for you. If the game crashes or freezes during gameplay consistently, try uninstalling the game and installing it again. Back up your save files just in case.

Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of SOMA.
