SOMA Releasing On Xbox One on December 1; Will Include A New ‘Safe Mode’

A mode where you cannot die.

The cult hit horror game SOMA will be releasing on the Xbox One on December 1, Frictional Games has confirmed, fulfilling a promise made all the way back in 2015, when the title originally launched for PS4 only, and they vowed to bring it over to the Xbox One eventually.

The wait is worth it, because SOMA is great- and not just that, but it also comes with a rather intriguing new mode. It’s called the ‘Safe Mode’, and players won’t die in this mode- it’s the perfect mode for someone who wants to take in the game’s excellent lore and atmosphere, or its immaculately constructed world, without having to constantly be worrying about dying.

SOMA is available already on PC and PS4, where it has sold a total of 650,000 copies- maybe the Xbox release can help push it to over a million! Check out the teaser for the new release for yourself below.
