SOMA Trailer Features Environments, Creepy Musings

Something wicked this way comes.

Soma

Frictional Games’ SOMA has always been a rather strange beast. In previous trailers, we haven’t quite gotten a look at what’s haunting PATHOS-II, an underwater base where “the machines have started to think they are people”. This latest one is no different as a woman remembers her experiences in Taipei while the game’s environments are shown off in creepy fashion.

SOMA has been in development for quite a while, since 2010 to be more exact, and it’s a first person survival horror title much like Frictional’s Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The developer is leaning more towards science-fiction this time though honestly, it’s hard to tell who’s the enemy (or enemies) at this point.

Releasing on September 22nd, SOMA will be out on PS4, PC, Mac OS X and Linux. What are your thoughts on this latest trailer? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information as we near the game’s launch.
