Sonic Frontiers

Sonic Frontiers was given a Holiday 2022 launch window a while back, and over the last few months, Sega has explicitly stressed on a couple of occasions that it has no plans to delay the open world platformer, in spite of the fact that it’s showings so far have left many people skeptical about how the final product will turn out. Now, the game’s exact release date has also been (accidentally) confirmed.

As spotted by @Nibellion on Twitter, Sega recently uploaded a new Japanese TV spot for Sonic Frontiers, but clearly, it went live before it was supposed to, seeing as it’s since been made private again. That ad, interestingly, mentioned a November 8 release date for the game.

Sonic Frontiers is due to receive a new showing at Gamescom Opening Night Live later today, so it’s very likely that this launch date will get officially confirmed there. Meanwhile, the game is also going to be playable at Sega’s Gamescom booth for those who are physically attending the event between August 24 and August 28.

Sonic Frontiers is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
