Gamescom is set for August 24 to 28 this year, and will be kicked off as per usual by Gamescom Opening Night Live. Host and producer Geoff Keighley has confirmed that it’ll be a roughly 2-hour long live show with over 30 games showcased, and we’re beginning to get more details on what those games are going to be.

It’s been confirmed that Sonic Frontiers will be taking the stage at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 23. Sega’s upcoming open world platformer (or open zone, as they like to call it) will be receiving a “world premiere new look and news”, so you can expect to get new details and gameplay footage.

Other games confirmed to be present at Gamescom Opening Night Live include new title announcements by Unknown Worlds and D-Pad Studio. Meanwhile, recently, Microsoft also confirmed that the lineup of games its bringing to Gamescom includes Pentiment, Grounded, A Plague Tale: Innocence, and more. Read more on that through here.
