Sega’s Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches in less than a month, but PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch players can experience the Open Network Test this weekend. Pre-loads are currently available, and a new trailer outlines the smattering of content available.
There are nine courses, seven CrossWorlds (which open up after the first lap) and 12 playable characters from across the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Players can also try out 21 different vehicles across the five categories or create their own custom ride with various parts. You can also utilize 42 different Gadgets for creating builds optimized for just about any purpose.
Outside of World Match, there’s also a one-day Joker Festival event, where players separate into three teams. Those who score the most points across various courses and custom rules can earn decals and titles. Best of all, anyone who participates will unlock Joker and his vehicle in the other modes.
The Open Network Test runs from August 28th, 9 PM to September 1st, with Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds releasing on September 25th.
