Sonic Superstars is a 2D sidescrolling platformer developed by Arzest and Sonic Team, and published by Sega.
It is the first game in the series to feature four-player co-op, with four playable characters available in the game.
"The timing of the launch coincided with competing titles in the same genre, and it has been short of the initial forecast," Sega says.
The costume will be added to the 2D sidescrolling platformer on February 15, and will be free for all players.
