Sega has released a new animated video for the upcoming side-scrolling title Sonic Superstars. The video, titled Trio of Trouble, introduces us to new characters making their debut with the game, including Fang the Hunter and Trip, along with Dr. Eggman. Check out the video below.
The video acts as an animated introduction to Sonic Superstars, and while it doesn’t show off any gameplay, it instead focuses on giving us a great look at the general happy-go-lucky vibes of the upcoming game. While the trailer doesn’t outright confirm anything, it’s also likely that we’ll see Fang the Hunter as a playable character in Sonic Superstars.
Sonic Superstars is slated for release on October 17, and will be making its way on to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The game also had one of the songs from its soundtrack revealed in a trailer—Pinball Carnival Act 1.
