Sonic X Shadow Generations Has a New Story and Levels – Rumor

Leaker lolilolailo says it's "real" and "bigger than what most people think." A reveal is potentially coming at today's State of Play.

Sonic Adventure 2

With all of the titles confirmed and rumored for the next State of Play, one of the more intriguing is Sonic X Shadow Generations. Though initially believed to be a remaster of Sonic Generations, its alleged name indicated something more than Shadow the Hedgehog potentially being playable.

However, that may end up being the case, according to leaker lolilolailo, who reported last year on Persona 3 Reload’s existence before the official announcement. On ResetEra, they claimed, “This is real, and bigger than what most people think,” going beyond simply adding Shadow as a new playable character.

In another reply, they said it’s essentially a “New game” with a new story and levels. The scope and scale of the new content remain to be seen, though it could essentially be an expansion on top of an enhanced version of Sonic Generations. Time will tell, so stay tuned for more details.

State of Play starts today at 2 PM PT, with Sony confirming appearances by Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin.
