State of Play Set for January 31

The showcase will be over 40 minutes long and reveal new details on over 15 upcoming PS5 games, including Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin.

True to recent leaks, Sony has announced a new State of Play presentation. It will premiere this Wednesday, January 31, at 2 PM PT. The showcase will be over 40 minutes long, and as confirmed by Sony in a tweet, feature new details on over 15 upcoming games, including Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade. In addition to games that are due out this year, you can also expect to hear about PS5 and PS VR2 titles scheduled for “2024 and beyond”.

Recent leaks have claimed that Death Stranding 2 will also be showcased at the State of Play, with Sony allegedly set to unveil the game’s full title as Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Meanwhile, it’s been claimed that Firewalk Studios’ Concord, which was announced last year, will also be fully unveiled.

Other new announcements at the showcase will allegedly include a new VR-exclusive Metro game, a PS5 and PC release for Until Dawn, and a new Sonic Generations release. Meanwhile, the likes of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Judas, and Silent Hill 2 will also be part of the lineup, according to aforementioned leaks.
