A recent insider rumour indicated that Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Part 2 would receive an update before E3 2019. True or not, Sony will be offering new details on its upcoming titles in the next State of Play. It’s scheduled for May 9th at 3 PM PST.
It will be 10 minutes long, and though Sony won’t have any new details on the PlayStation 5, it has promised an extended look at MediEvil. The remake of SCE Cambridge Studio’s classic has been a while coming, and we’ll get to see how it’s been shaping up recently. We’ll also receive our first look at a “new title.”
Furthermore, Niko Partners senior analyst Daniel “ZhugeEx” Ahmad said on ResetEra that there would be new updates on other Sony titles. Perhaps more interesting is that a third party title announced long ago will receive a “re-reveal.” The return of Rockstar’s Agent? Here’s hoping.
Sony has noted that the next State of Play will air later this year. This could mean more concrete information on the PS5, especially since the publisher won’t be attending E3 2019. Regardless, stay tuned for more details, but try not to get your hopes too high.
