SoulCalibur 6 Geralt

It’s now official – Geralt of Rivia from CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher series will be a guest character in SoulCalibur 6. A new trailer released for Geralt showcases the White Wolf in action along with Kaer Morhen which will be a playable stage.

Geralt’s style, consisting of twirls and swift sword movements, is in full effect. The various Signs like Igni and Axii can also be seen, which is especially apparent in his Ultimate attack. To make things even better, voice actor Doug Cockle will be reprising his role as the Butcher of Blaviken.

CD Projekt Red community lead Marcin Momot stated that, “We’ve collaborated with Bandai Namco artists to faithfully recreate Geralt, and shared original Witcher 3: Wild Hunt assets like Geralt’s model, animations, and weapons. I think Bandai Namco did an outstanding job of capturing all the details and introducing The Witcher to SoulCalibur in a way fans of both series will enjoy.”

Considering the storyline of SoulCalibur 6, which revisits events from the first game to uncover some new secrets, it should be interesting to see how the otherworldly Geralt plays a role in the story. Thus far, Bandai Namco has confirmed the appearance of fighters like Ivy, Kilik, Zasalmel, Sophitia, Mitsurugi, Xianghua and Nightmare. A new character named Grøh also joins the ranks.

SoulCalibur 6 is currently slated to release this year for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It doesn’t have a release date just yet.
