Google’s streaming-based service is here finally, and it doesn’t seem to have had the best of starts. It’s hard to say what the path for the service is going forward, but for now those who jumped in can get a friend into the swing of things for free with an extra buddy pass for the holidays.

As announced via the official blog, those who bought the Founder’s Edition will get an additional buddy pass for no additional charge. The buddy pass will let a friend jump into Stadia Pro free of charge for three months, letting tem buy games on the service as well as access to the free games in rotation for the month. You can give it to anyone, and they won’t even need the Stadia controller.

Founders should check their Stadia apps for information on how to redeem the new pass. If you got some friends who want to try out the service, or maybe you don’t have Stadia and know someone who does, now is time for the giving season.
