Since Respawn Entertainment boss Vince Zampella announced Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order at E3 2018, there hasn’t really been any new info on the game. We do know that it’s scheduled for a Holiday 2019 release, and that more info will be released at E3 2019 (both things were confirmed by Zampella at the time of announcement itself), but other than that, we don’t know much else.
Now, a person on Reddit – who’s claiming to have recently been in attendance in a Star Wars Marketing Presentation by Disney – has posted some interesting details about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that they heard and saw in the presentation. The presentation was about all things Star Wars for 2019, and Respawn’s title was obviously included as well.
Apparently, the game will take place five years after Revenge of the Sith, and features a character named Cal as the protagonist, who was a Padawan (a Jedi apprentice, in case you don’t know what that means) before the Jedi were hunted down by the Sith- Cal managed to survive the Galaxy-wide slaughter.
Cal also has a mentor figure in the game, a woman named Cerses, and the game will also feature some characters that will be crossing over from recent Star Wars comic stories. Inquisitors (a group of elite, Force-sensitive soldiers who’ve often appeared as Jedi Hunters in recent Star Wars stories) will also be featured, including the Ninth Sister and the Seventh Sister.
About the Seventh Sister- the person on Reddit mentions “the 2nd Sister”, but since there hasn’t been an appearance by a “2nd Sister” in Star Wars so far, I’m assuming they’re referring to the Seventh Sister, introduced in Star Wars Rebels. Her inclusion would be particularly exciting, because she was once part of the Jedi Order herself. Then again, there is the chance that Respawn are introducing the character of the Second Sister in Jedi: Fallen Order for the first time. But by all means, correct me if I’m wrong about any of this.
The leaker mentioned that not a lot of gameplay details were shared at the presentation, but that plenty of artwork was shown. They did, however, mention that the game will be releasing in November 2019, which not only falls in like with the Holiday release date that was confirmed at E3 this year, but also with EA’s own confirmation that multiple Respawn titles will be releasing by 2019 end.
For now, you shouldn’t take this information as official by any means, but it’s worth noting that all of it is in line with what we’ve heard about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in the past. Zampella confirmed at E3 this year that the game would take place between Episodes 3 and 4, during the time when the Jedi were being hunted, while the release date is also in line with earlier information, as mentioned above.
Either way, stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll keep you updated on any new information that comes our way.
