Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition - Rose

In its recent Spring Update stream for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition, Capcom unveiled lots of new details on its upcoming Season 5 characters. Oro and Rose were up first with the latter slated to launch on April 19th. The former also has a lot going on with new moves like “Tsuranekeashi” and the V-Skill “Onibi” which is a fireball that can bounce off the floor (and even goes through the opponent’s projectile).

V-Skill 2 is “Minomoushi” which is a short hop but can transition into other moves depending on the next input. “Tengu Stone” makes a return as Oro’s second V-Trigger, allowing him to summon nearby objects and rocks that can float above. Oro will release this Summer so Rose will have to satisfy players in the short term. Fortunately, she has some very cool moves as well.

There’s “Soul Fortune”, a V-Skill which consists of different tarot cards that can either buff her or debuff opponents (with the current card seen near the V-Gauge). One example is “The Chariot” for increased attack damage. “Soul Dimension” is a V-Trigger that utilizes two bars and involves teleporting to three different places on-screen for some serious mix-up potential. There’s also “Soul Illusion”, another two bar V-Trigger where Rose will summon a clone of herself which mirrors her moves.

Stay tuned for more details on upcoming Season 5, especially on Akira Kazama from Rival Schools.
