Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition

Of all the games to be receiving any major announcements these days, Capcom’s Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition is certainly the least expected. The development team added some netcode adjustments close to the game’s launch. Now, it’s promising some “exciting news” for later today.

The announcement will go live at 8 AM PDT on Capcom Unity so expect an update on that. What could it be? New fighters packed in a new Season Pass? More netcode changes? An Xbox One release, at long last (if not a Nintendo Switch port)? We’re not really sure but considering that the base game is still being supported after more than four years, it should be interesting.

Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition is currently available for PS4 and PC. It contains all of the fighters and updates thus far, along with all of the stages and nearly all of the cosmetic DLC. Check out our review for the game here and stay tuned for more details.
