It may not have surpassed The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in the latest UK physical sales charts, but Street Fighter 6 is off to a roaring start. The game’s Japanese Twitter account confirmed that the fighter crossed one million players since its June 2nd release, with lifetime sales of the series passing 50 million.
By comparison, Street Fighter 5 launched on February 16th, 2016, and sold 1.4 million copies by March 31st, 2016. It was only released on PS4 and PC, while Street Fighter 6 is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. How long the latter will take to cross 10 million lifetime sales remains to be seen, but so far, so good.
