You’d think that Double Helix Games is busy dealing with Killer Instinct for the Xbox One (check out our interview with the developer here), but they’re also collaborating with Capcom to developer the remake of Strider. The digital downloadable title will be releasing on Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox 360 in 2014, but in the mean time, those who attend the upcoming Tokyo Game Show will have a chance to play the game.

The official website is already open and also revealed that the game will be released in Japan as Strider Hiryu. The game will see Strider return but in a fully 3D world, as a third person action adventure set in the future. It will include many of his classic moves, including the classic Cypher blade.

The soundtrack will also feature several tracks that pay homage to several tunes in the series, with Strider’s look influenced by Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. The Tokyo Game Show takes place from September 19th to 22nd.
