OtherSide Entertainment’s System Shock 3 will be coming roughly 18 years after its predecessor, System Shock 2, and it seems it will be heading to consoles as well as PC. Starbreeze, which has developed Payday 2, has announced that it signed a deal with the developer to publish the game for “PC and other platforms”.

Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson-Klint stated that, “System Shock is one of those iconic franchises in the history of games that still gets my blood going and Mr. Spector is one of the founding fathers of the modern action-RPG. We’re greatly looking forward to bringing System Shock 3 to players worldwide in our collaboration with OtherSide Entertainment and Warren Spector’s team. I’ll be first in line to play.”

The company wasn’t specific about “other platforms” but when contacted by GameSpot, Starbreeeze said that, “Other exact platforms are still pending; we’ll share more news about System Shock 3 in the future.”
