Sega's Sapporo Studio, which is contributing to the reboot's development, has confirmed Crazy Taxi is going to be a AAA production.
The Jet Set Radio reboot will tell a "new" story that will feature both new and returning characters, it's been claimed.
Crazy Taxi will boast the "cheerful feeling of freedom" and a "fusion of nature and city", while Shinobi is described as a world "full of monsters and ninja actions."
Sega of America boss Shuji Utsumi spoke about the company building off the success of recent Sonic the Hedgehog titles.
As part of Sega's "Super Game" initiative, both titles are reportedly receiving "big-budget" reboots with a Fortnite-esque model.
