Codemasters acquired the WRC license from 2023 onward back in 2020, with the first game expected to launch sometime this year.
It seems like EA is axing Codemasters' DiRT IP as well, with DiRT Rally morphing into WRC titles going forward, and the arcade-like DiRT titles being shelved.
New report claims that Codemasters is icing the DiRT franchise, and will shift focus to F1, GRID, and WRC, with the latter being its next big project.
Bigben Interactive will hold the rights until then.
Prepare yourself.
