The Walking Dead The Final Season

It has not been long since it was first announced that Telltale Games would be closing down. Initially, there were reports that the final season of The Walking Dead would be cancelled, but we also later learnt that it may still be released and that Telltale was looking for someone to complete the production of the last two episodes of the season. There has now been an update regarding this, and it looks like Telltale is trying get some other studios to hire the old staff to complete the final episodes.

This news was revealed in a recent report by Kotaku, which states that Telltale is currently negotiating with other companies to try and make this happen. Apparently, before Telltale’s closure, the third episode was almost completed, and work on the fourth episode had begun already. According to Kotaku’s sources, the ideal situation would be if all of the old staff returned to finish off the third and fourth episode, but that may not be possible.

The work would be done on a contract basis, and it will be the name of the company that hires the old staff that will be on the paychecks. Hopefully, the negotiations will be successful, and fans will get to fully play through The Final Season.
