The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Earlier today, it was discovered that Beenox’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, an adaptation of the recent film, might possibly be postponed on the Xbox One. This was due to the game’s Xbox One listing being removed from the official site, even though online retailers still had their listings intact. Furthermore, an anonymous source claimed that the game had been “indefinitely” postponed. So what’s going on?

Speaking to GamingBolt, an Activision representative stated that, “We are working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One. Currently, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and the PC on 2nd May, 2014 as previously announced.”

At the very least the game hasn’t been cancelled and it doesn’t look like it’ll be “indefinitely” delayed either. It’s a toss-up at this point as to whether we’ll see the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on Xbox One in the end or not but at this point, it seems it’ll release after other versions have. Stay tuned for more details.
