After being rated by the ESRB last month, Neon Giant’s The Ascent has finally been confirmed for PS4 and PS5. It’s out on March 24th and offers a PlayStation-exclusive pre-order weapon – the RPEG 33, an energy rocket launcher with a unique laser sight. Check out the latest trailer below to see it in action.
Taking place on Veles in a cyberpunk arcology, the story sees the all-powerful Ascent Group suddenly collapsing. It’s up to the player to find out what happened while protecting their territory from rival groups and factions. Though essentially a twin-stick shooter action RPG, The Ascent utilizes cover for more tactical gameplay.
The Ascent is currently available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. You can check out our review here for more details.
