Death Stranding, too, received an expanded re-release this year with a Director’s Cut of its own, and though it didn’t add on as much new content as Ghost of Tsushima did, it was a solid package nonetheless. By and large, its world remains the same, but that doesn’t take away from its inherent strengths. Traversing the game’s entire map and basking in its desolate beauty and its empty isolation is still one of the most unique and impactful gaming experiences you’ll ever have.
