After much teasing and anticipation, Rebel Wolves has announced that The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch on September 3rd. It will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC for $69.99, and a new story trailer showcases better times for Coen before he witnesses extensive slaughter
Helmed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who directed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the open-world role-playing game is set in Vale Sangora during the 14th century, where a powerful vampire takes over the kingdom. While subjugating humanity, he also sires the protagonist.
However, for some reason, the latter is turned into a Dawnwalker, who can roam during the day without any ill effects and channel vampiric abilities at night. With 30 days in hand, Coen is on a mission to save his family, though he also needs to amply prepare himself and gain allies before taking on Brencis.
This dual lifestyle approach opens up different ways to play, as you need to rely on swordplay during the day and manage your vampiric hunger to not randomly kill important NPCs at night. Of course, as time goes on, Coen begins to question how far he’ll go to save his family.
Over a year ago, Rebel Wolves said The Blood of Dawnwalker campaign would take about 30 to 40 hours to complete, but that doesn’t account for the open world, which is “small” but offers a litany of activities. Stay tuned for more details as the Road to Launch Event rolls on.
