The Division 2

Ubisoft Massive’s first downloadable episode for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, which is available for free to all players, will hit the Public Test Realm server first. DC Outskirts: Expeditions will see players heading to the National Zoo among other locations. You can play it for yourself on PC from July 1st.

In its latest State of the Game, Ubisoft Massive confirmed that the episode will open up in stages. This will allow content to be tested one piece at a time. Since the PTR will also be used to test Title Update 5, players can expect changes to Blueprints, which are shared across all sources (including Control Point Alert 3 and 4); Heroic Bosses dropping Exotics; and Cassie Mendoza selling Gear Score 500 items along with Named Items and Exotics. There’s also going to be a flashlight attachment for pistols.

Massive is also looking to significantly buff the skill builds in the game. Skill Mods which buff, for example turret damage will be buffed to provide 150 percent more damage as opposed to the current 25 to 30 percent. Skill Cooldown Reduction is also being changed to Skill Haste (with gear values for the same being buffed by 33 percent) and it will also scale with Skill Power.

The Division 2’s first DLC episode is out in July. Year 1 Pass holders will be able to receive a week’s early access though.
