The Division Confirmed to Receive New Content in Future

According to an ETF member, that is.

Ubisoft Massive is currently holding another Elite Task Force workshop for Tom Clancy’s The Division where members of the community are invited to take part in discussions and test out new features ahead of launch. Usually this means offering suggestions for patches, especially with update 1.7 and 1.8 next in line, but apparently there’s some new content inbound. And no, it doesn’t seem to just be rehashed content like new difficulty settings for current missions.

This is according to Morganamp on Reddit, a member of the ETF who’s currently under NDA but still allowed to confirm that new content is indeed happening. He noted that this was, “New content that you have not seen before. Not rehashed existing content.”

It was further stated that the developer doesn’t “want to hold back information but they also don’t want to promise what they may not be able to deliver. I HAVE played this content and while doing so 2 hours went by and I swear I thought we had been playing for 10-15 minutes. I was engaged and engulfed and I honestly cannot wait for The Division community to be able to share with me in this experience.” It was not confirmed whether this new content was focused on PvE or PvP.

Considering Ubisoft Massive didn’t promise any major expansion of the game world or significant new content in the second year of The Division, this is good news indeed. We’ll have to wait and see what it ultimately amounts to so stay tuned for official word from Ubisoft Massive.
