The Division

Tom Clancy’s The Division will be out in early March and judging from the strong response that the betas have received, Ubisoft has high expectations. During the publisher’s Investor Day presentation (via GameSpot), managing director John Parkes said that the MMORPG/shooter has the chance to be one of the biggest new IP launches ever, beating current title holders Destiny and Watch Dogs.

“Because of its many attributes – RPG, shooter, massive online multiplayer, realistic setting in a beautifully recreated New York, great open world playable in solo or in co-op–The Division can become one of the biggest launches ever for a new IP.”

Parkes also reported how the closed beta witnessed more registrations than any title in the company’s history and that the actual number of beta players is three times higher than Ubisoft had expected.

The Division is out on March 8th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The open beta is currently live for Xbox One, PS4 and PC and will conclude on February 21st.
