The Division New 1

With the release of The Division just a little over a month away and the game’s beta due to launch in short order, we’re getting more and more information about what we can expect to see every day. So far, the information has been a little piece meal, and those pieces are coming from Ubisoft itself but now we’ve gotten a brand new video that shows off about 15 minutes of gameplay goodness.

The video, posted by YouTuber TheDevilDogGamer is titled “The Mean Streets” and shows the player going through a number of levels, taking terrorists down along the way. You can see in the video that the player is taking his squad through New York and at least part of the mission is to rescue an NPC named Dr. Kandel. Among the other features that are shown off in the gameplay video is the rather unique way in which your character’s ammo and weapons you’re using are displayed, moving with the character, instead of showing up as a miniscreen at the bottom right of the television screen, as is the usual way these kinds of shooters are carried out.

Another part of the mission shows players entering the Lexington Events Center where the terrorists seem to have shown their sadistic side, actually hanging a couple of bodies upside down and putting up a sign that says “Welcome to the Party.” You can check out how the players get through this particular mission if you watch the video below. The Division is due to launch on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 on March 8.
