After yesterday’s State of the Game, Ubisoft Massive has gone into even more detail regarding upcoming weapon balance changes in Tom Clancy’s The Division with update 1.3. While many of those changes were detailed yesterday, it was interesting to note the new weapons coming with the Underground DLC.

These include the previously announced Showstopper shotgun, which increases in accuracy as you fire more bullets; the G36 which increases weapon damage by X percent when no skills are on cooldown; the SVD marksman rifle where killing a target will make your next shot an automatic crit hit; and the PP-19 SMG which reduces your next reload time by X percent to a minimum of Y seconds with each critical hit.

Massive has also announced weapon talent recalibration, making it easier for players to re-roll a single talent that they don’t like on a gun. This can be done through Weapon Kits which are earned by crafting, crates in the Underground missions or via drops from enemies. They’ll be used along with Phoenix Credits and can recalibrate weapons much like gear is recalibrated.

The number of talents you can choose from while recalibrating, along with the costs and talents in the pool, has been unconfirmed but given that Underground is out on June 28th for Xbox One and PC, we’ll find out soon enough.
