Tom Clancy’s The Division is currently running a public test server (PTS) for its next big update 1.5 and its second expansion “Survival“. The expansion is interesting because it takes the open world of the Manhattan and turns it into a huge survival-oriented simulation. Check out the reveal trailer below.

Survival starts players out with a basic pistol and they must fight to acquire better gear and weapons, medicine to stave off the virus, heat to prevent freezing and other supplies like food to prevent starvation. NPCs roam the map and increase in strength as you near the centre. Your objective is to extract and make it out alive but you’ll also have to be wary of the newest faction, the Hunters.

If you own the Season Pass, then you can try out Survival on the PTS for PC now. A release date for all platforms hasn’t been announced but Xbox One and PC players will receive it 30 days before PS4. What are your thoughts on the expansion? Let us know below.
