The Evil Within TGS 2014 Trailer Descends Into Madness

Releasing in Japan on October 23rd.

Tango Gameworks’ The Evil Within received a new trailer at the Tokyo Game Show 2014 and comes from the demented mind of Shinji Mikami. Though it isn’t as mind-f**k worthy as the recent Silent Hills teaser, there’s still plenty of creepy goings-on. Check it out above.

The Evil Within, known as Psychobreak in Japan, sees you playing as Sebastian Castellanos, a detective who enters a crazed universe full of psychotic monstrosities in order to find his partner and hopefully emerge alive. You’ll need to use your wits to survive since ammo is limited but there will apparently be traps to set and lure enemies into. We doubt there’s much running to be done in these scenarios.

The Evil Within will be out on October 23rd in Japan but will arrive in North America and Europe on October 14th for the Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Are you picking it up? Let us know in the comments.
