The Last Guardian’s United Kingdom release date appears to have been pushed back to October 28th, three days behind the North American launch. At this stage, more than a decade after Shadow of the Colossus released, we suppose the very fact that The Last Guardian is coming out at all out to be enough. However, United Kingdom residents generally do get the short end of the stick when it comes to release dates, although there are exceptions such as No Man’s Sky.
The Last Guardian got stage time yesterday at Sony’s E3 conference. Have a look at the E3 trailer, though there’s not much here in terms of gameplay. At least in terms of the weirdly wonderful environmental design, it’s very much a Fumito Ueda project. The Last Guardian’s focus on the relationship dynamic between the protagonist and pet/monster Trico will have interesting narrative implications.
