The Last of Us Extended Live Action TV Spot is All Kinds of Awesome

The evolution of despair in 61 seconds.

A new live-action TV spot was released for Naughty Dog’s upcoming survival adventure game The Last of Us, which mixes live action footage with gameplay. And though the concept is simple, it reflects a great perspective – subtle, yet explicit – into the psyche of main man Joel.

The game follows Joel, a black market dealer, and Ellie, a mysterious young girl, as they journey across the ruins of what was once the United States of America. They come across military, savages, other survivors and some very dangerous infected humans known as Clickers. Meanwhile, the relationship between the two and the aspects of fighting for survival are explored.

The Last of Us is due to release on June 14th exclusively for the PlayStation 3, but is already being reviewed by critics. Several rave reviews put the game at 90 and above. For its part, Naughty Dog recently revealed the multiplayer mode and will be announcing something big for the game tomorrow.
