The Last of Us movie will look to be pretty faithful to the game despite there being some “big changes” according to writer Neil Druckmann.

Speaking to Game Informer (transcribed by GameSpot), Druckmann stated that, “[It’s] pretty faithful to the game.

“There are some big changes, but the tone and what the story’s trying to say is pretty faithful to the game.”

There are various things that have to be done in order to translate the game into a movie, especially since it will be going from 10 hour or so action adventure into a 2 to 2.5 hour film. Regardless, Naughty Dog seems determined to bring the soul of the franchise to the silver screen in as faithful a form as possible.
