The Last of Us Part 2_05

Naughty Dog has been going behind the scenes with development on The Last of Us Part 2, showcasing the story-telling and gameplay in a new video series. But there’s even more inbound – Sony has announced a State of Play dedicated to the PS4 exclusive. It will air on May 27th at 1 PM PT on Twitch and YouTube.

Director Neil Druckmann will be on hand to showcase new gameplay over the course of 25 minutes or so. You can also expect to see more of the world and the various threats that Ellie will encounter. Interestingly, the episode will be capped off with a “never-before-seen extended gameplay sequence.” It should be interesting, to say the least.

Sony also made sure to clarify that there would be no news or updates on the PlayStation 5. Fans can simply expect an in-depth look at The Last of Us Part 2 before it releases on June 19th. Nothing more, nothing less. Stay tuned for more information when the episode goes live this Wednesday.
