I would expect nothing less from Naughty Dog.

the last of us 2

We’ve already reported to you that The Last of Us Part 2 will be running on an updated version of the same engine that powered the excellent Uncharted 4– but that’s not where the story ends, either. You see, in a panel that Naughty Dog were holding for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy at PSX today, Lost Legacy Creative Director Shaun Escayg revealed that The Last of Us 2 will use “a lot of new tech,” further teasing that that new tech will be “pretty promising”.

That apart, Escayg naturally sounded excited about the new game- in fact, he sounded as excited for it as we all probably do, calling the game ‘amazing,’ and admitting that everyone at the studio is excited for it. Which, I mean, who wouldn’t be? They are making the sequel to one of the greatest games ever made.

The Last of Us Part 2 was announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive at the PlayStation Experience keynote panel today. As of right now, it has no release date.
