With less than two months to go till The Last of Us Part 2’s highly anticipated release, Sony and Naughty Dog are preparing to properly kick the game’s marketing into gear. Recently, they released a new story-focused trailer for the action-adventure title (also showing brief glimpses of gameplay), and it seems that may just have been the beginning.

In a post on the official PlayStation blog, director Neil Druckmann said that there’s more that Naughty Dog is “looking forward to sharing with you, beginning with the debut of our all-new story trailer.” He goes on to promise that more “exciting” new details will also be shared in the coming weeks as we count down the days to the game’s release.

“The pace is only going to pick up from here,” he wrote, “so keep an eye out for more exciting news as we count the weeks, days and hours until The Last of Us Part II launches.”

Whether this will amount to more new trailers or new gameplay details being shared – or perhaps a bit of both – remains to be seen. Either way, The Last of Us fans have something to look forward to in the coming weeks.

Development on The Last of Us Part 2 recently wrapped up, and the game is on track to launch on June 19 for the PS4. When it does, make sure you have plenty of free storage space, because this is going to be a big one.
