Lead programmer Jason Gregory talks about reaching the game’s full potential on PS4.
Now that The Last of Us: Remastered is close to release, Naughty Dog is working extremely hard to sell people on an HD remake of its hit game that launched a year ago. Keep in mind that this hit game is still selling very well on the PS3 and the only real difference lies in the visuals.
According to Naughty Dog lead programmer Jason Gregory in conversation with Gamespot though, “In my view, this is really the way The Last of Us should be played.
“When you look at it on PS4, on PS3 we were envisioning something that couldn’t quite be achieved. It was very well achieved on PS3, but not quite. And on PS4 it feels like the game reaches its full potential.”
That’s all well and good but how much of a fundamental difference will it make to the gameplay? We’ll find out when The Last of Us: Remastered is out on July 29th for PS4.
