The Last of Us: Remastered is Naughty Dog’s updating of their seminal action adventure game released for the PlayStation 3 last year; the game is being ported and, as the name suggests, remastered, for Sony’s newest console. It is also getting all the DLC and Game of the Year content.
Unfortunately, it is also going to cost a full $60, which compared to the value that remasters like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (priced at $50, and representing a much fuller remaster, along with a whole lot more new content), or this year’s upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which packs four games, over 100 multiplayer maps, a beta for an upcoming game, and a spin off series, all into one package, for $60, it starts to look like very poor value.
Assuming, then, that you were waiting on the price to drop before you bought or rebought this game, now’s your chance- The Last of Us Remastered is currently $49.99 on Amazon, representing a 17% cut in the price from its full price, and bringing its price down to a slightly saner level (and more in line with, say, The Wind Waker HD).
Grab it while you can– even if the price goes up later, as long as you pre-order it for this price now, you are guaranteed to get it at this, or a lower price.
