The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 recently released for the PlayStation 4 in the West but publisher NIS America isn’t stopping there. It recently told GameSpot that the role-playing title would be coming to the Nintendo Switch in Spring 2020. It will actually launch for the US and Europe on Switch before Japan, which is interesting.
Much like the PS4 release, there will be a demo available on Switch before the game launches. It was also revealed that the Switch version will run at a locked 720p resolution and 30 frames per second in both docked and undocked modes. There will also be two special editions available at launch with the Extracurricular Edition and Thors Academy Edition.
While the former includes a reversible cover, art book and the base game, the latter will have the same content along with a steelbook, postcards, the original soundtracks and a plushie of Mishy. The game’s DLC will be included in all versions of the game. Of course, now the real question is whether Nihon Falcom has plans to bring the first two games to Switch as well. We’ll have to stay tuned for more details.
