Months after the PS4 version’s launch, Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4 is out now for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Picking up right after Trails of Cold Steel 3, the story sees old and new Class VII banding together to find Rean Schwarzer and prevent all-out war from engulfing the world.
Many of the same mechanics from the third game, like Orders, have returned though they’ve been slightly re-balanced to be less OP. Lost Arts have returned though while Panzer Soldats can be summoned during battles. The other hook is the number of playable characters with the protagonists of Trails in the Sky and Trails to Zero/Azure also featuring in the story.
