During the New Game+ Expo, NIS America announced a release date for Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4 in the West. North America and Europe get it on October 27th, while Australia and New Zealand will have to wait till November 3rd. This is for the PS4 version – PC and Switch players will have to wait until 2021.

Set some time after the third game, Trails of Cold Steel 4 sees Erebonia going to war once again. Rean Schwarzer is missing, and it’s up to the new and old Class VII to fight together. With a large cast of playable characters, there will be enough flexibility for customizing one’s party.

Trails of Cold Steel 4 will still retain many elements of the previous games, including the ability to use mechs and Lost Arts, the latter providing powerful magic. Auto Battle is also available to allow for faster combat (especially if you’re just grinding XP). Mini-games like Vantage Master and fishing also return, with Blackjack, Horror Coaster, and more added.
