The Lord of the Rings Gollum

The Lords of the Rings: Gollum finally has a release date, launching this Spring for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC (with the Nintendo Switch version out later this year). In a new beta gameplay showcase, Daedalic Entertainment revealed various mechanics for the title across several locations.

Given Gollum’s stature, up-close fighting isn’t his strong suit. As a result, he’ll be sneaking, climbing and keeping to the shadows to avoid confrontation. The showcase also includes his interactions with Gandalf the Grey and the Candle Man, the latter in Mordor. Of course, Gollum ventures to Mirkwood, home of the Elves, while pursuing the One Ring.

Overall, the attention to detail is pretty extensive, and fans of books and movies should get into it while learning more about Gollum’s journey. The Lords of the Rings: Gollum is out on May 25th, so stay tuned for more details and gameplay before its release.
