Bloober Team’s intriguing psychological horror title The Medium has a release date. It’s out on December 10th for Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. You can also play it on Game Pass at launch. Check out the release date trailer below via IGN.

The Medium is about Marianne, a medium comes to the Niwa resort to unravel a dark tragedy that took place long ago. Marianne is capable of shifting between the real and spirit worlds. However, in an interesting twist, she can explore both realms at the same time. This is reflected in the dual-reality gameplay which sees both realms displayed on-screen simultaneously.

This kind of gameplay makes for some interesting puzzles, like rewinding the time in the spirit world to open a new path in the real world. Of course, there’s a sinister presence that’s also pursuing Marianne and it should be interesting to see how things play out. The soundtrack is also worth looking forward to since it’s composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski and Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka.
