Confirmed for PS5 last month, Giant Squid’s The Pathless has received a new release window: Holiday 2020. It will be out on PS4, PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store  at that time. To help make the wait easier, a six minute long gameplay video has been released, explaining the game’s premise and combat in greater detail.

The story focuses on the Hunter who’s on a strange island overtaken by darkness. With a bow and arrow and faithful eagle, the Hunter must seek out corrupted spirits and hunt them down. Along with combat against massive foes, there’s also a healthy bit of platforming and puzzle solving.

Announced almost two years ago, the art-style and visual design is as gorgeous as ever. Along with PS5, PS4 and PC, The Pathless will also be available on Apple Arcade. Expect more details and extensive gameplay footage in the coming months along with a more solid release date. Until then, stay tuned.
