Focus Home Interactive’s The Surge 2 has finally received an official release date. As per the game’s official Twitter, the sci-fi Souls-like will be releasing worldwide on September 24th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. More information on the limited edition, available at “participating retailers,” will be revealed tomorrow.

The official announcement is preceded by the game’s release date being leaked via a Microsoft Store Australia listing. We also learned about the URBN Gear Pack that contained some weapons and an armour set for those who pre-ordered the game. In terms of price, expect to pay roughly $60 USD at release.

As a follow-up to Deck13’s The Surge from 2017, The Surge 2 will see players traveling to Jericho City. The trip doesn’t go as planned – your plane is shot down, a strange storm threatens your survival, and killer robots are out to get you. The same combat and dismemberment will be returning, but with more gameplay choices and a longer story.
