The Witcher 3: Enhanced Edition Mod Overhauls The Game’s Combat

TL;DR it sucks less now.

Witcher 3 Wild Hunt

Quick, what was the biggest problem with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? If you answered ‘the combat was insufferable’, then you are right, that was the biggest issue the game had, enough to put many off from ever trying the otherwise superlative game.

Thankfully, it’s an issue that appears to have been resolved- at least on the PC version. A brand new mod for The Witcher 3, called ‘Enhanced Edition’, completely overhauls the game’s combat so that it is less… sucky. The changes include the introduction of all new stats that govern combat, such as attack and dodging speed, poise, adrenaline, vigor, and more; revamped sword mechanics, rebalanced Talents and Signs, poise, Speed, dodging, overhauled equipment systems and mechanics, and weapon and armor durability. You can check out the whole range of updates made to the mod on NexusMods.

Now if only there was some way to get these changes over to the console versions of the game as well… The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
