The Witcher 3

CD Projekt RED finally released patch 1.07 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt across all platforms this past weekend. PC users will be able to download the same from GOG (or the equivalent of their digital platform of choice) while Xbox One and PS4 users will receive it as an automatic update the next time you launch the game.

The long awaited patch brings a number of new additions to the game including a new alternative movement scheme for Geralt which makes for tighter turning; an inventory stash spread across various locations where players can dump their belongings rather than being forced to sell the same; the usual array of bug fixes and optimizations; sorting options for notes, books and items; and much more.

Unfortunately, it seems to have its share of problems. Some users have reported worse frame rate performance on the PS4 than before and even the Xbox One seems to be experiencing some frame drops.

It will be interesting to see how CD Projekt RED optimizes the game following these issues. Stay tuned for more information.
